Sutton-in-Craven Parish Council serves a population of approximately 3,470 in an area of 2,349 acres situated on the southern edge of the Airedale Valley, on a shallow terrace where Sutton Beck combines with Holme Beck before joining the River Aire.
The Council consists of ten members, five of which represent Sutton Mill Ward and five Sutton Ward. Elections to the Parish Council are held every four years.

Sutton-in-Craven Parish Council is an elected body with responsibilities for representing the whole of the electorate of Sutton-in-Craven, delivering services to meet local needs and improving quality of life within Sutton-in-Craven.
